Antibacterial potential of selected phytomolecules: An experimental study

Antibiotic resistance is a snowballing international threat. Some of the antibiotics have lost their effectiveness due to overuse and underuse. Thus, there an urgent need tackle this global challenge, either by inhibiting mechanisms or development new chemical entities. in current study, antibacterial activity selected phytomolecules was investigated against bacterial strains, alone combination, with standard drugs. The potential these explored using vitro assays (microtiter assay, growth kinetics, percentage retardation growth, antimicrobial synergy study) vivo studies (zebrafish infection model). In shown promising effects against, both, Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria. Moreover, cell viability assay also indicated cytoprotective effect combination (SABX). could be broad-spectrum agent antibiotics.
